Auto Sheepskin Seat Covers: Have Good Tensile Strength

As a student of textile I have an idea about the strength of sheepskin. Some may have compare the strength of the sheepskin to steel which I don’t know is a good comparison or not.

The steel is really hard and the sheepskin is soft. The tensile strength of the sheepskin is very good and can bear the really huge amount of abuse and still when you look it you will find it new. That is why auto sheepskin seat covers are advisable than other seat covers.

Now may be the question came in your mind that why the strength of the auto sheepskin covers matters a lot? So as we all know that how badly we use our seats like with children and family you cannot keep them as new as on the first day of the car.

So if there are auto sheepskin seat covers because of their strength they will be long lasting and will remain new for longer period of time.

When you come in and out of the car then the seat covers stretch so much and if there is no fabric like a non-stretchable fabric than it would tear so soon and also the friction which creates while rubbing the fabric also cause the thinning of the fibers and then break.

The friction also creates other problems. It also affects the cushioning of the seats. Now the materials which are using to make the seats and its contours are better than they used to.

Few years back the seat covers were used of vinyl and when the cushion got worn down the cover also split too.

Auto sheepskin seat covers on the other hand do not stretch or with the little stretching. The backs of auto sheepskin seat covers are always open so the fabric cannot be stretched in any case. The other advantage of the back opening is that the cover just fits over the seat perfectly.
